The chimps go blogging

Well, the idea came after long conversations where we were trying to simplify the website process for the customer and supply bespoke web packages for the SME market. The actual idea for the site has been evolved over time and a few months back we gave ourselves a deadline to have it ready by, as with most small businesses you put your client work first and anything you need to do for yourself goes on the back burner. We had a date in the diary when a local networking exhibition was announced, so we booked a stall and worked towards that goal.

The reason we created this site was as simple as I mentioned previously, we want a clear and concise way of offering websites to small businesses like our own. Myself (the designer) and business partner (the developer) have been in the industry for many years and have seen people pay sky high prices for a site that doesn't deliver, we have seen people who have been misled and mis sold a product and we have seen some designs that have sent our eye balls reeling, on the flip side we have seen some good sites that have been successful, navigate well and look good, so it's not all doom and gloom, but more often than not a small business is working to a tight or non existent budget and what they do spend their money on has to be spent wisely. This is where we understand that market as we have both been there, spent stupid money, run successful small businesses ourselves and also helped set up numerous businesses nationwide for our clients, so we know the highs and the lows and have learnt everything about a range of businesses from funeral directors to beauticians.

We are passionate about delivering high quality work, as we have built up a reputation for ourselves through recommendation and before we joined forces to set up Chimp my Site we were both well known for our skills in our individual areas and had already got quite a few sites under our belts working together but under our own separate company names, this has shone through and local people know who to come to if they want a great looking site with friendly, honest people to work with.
